Cyber Attacks and Counter Intelligence

In relation to the article about cyber attacks, what one wonders is, "Who are we actually up against?" - Is it the case that we are still fighting against the computer and technology savvy hackers of the 21st century we know, or are we now up against another level of "tech-savvy hackers"? Will be be fighting against robots and computerised technology, programmed to think of the possibilities of our every next move? That is the question one should be asking with the rise of automation... :/

How the Earth became the Earth...

The Economist writes in the above article about how the Earth, with the simplest of organisms, has developed into what it is today. Many interesting discoveries in Science and Technology have contributed to all we know today, and with all we know, the question remains, "what are we going to do with the information...?"... :)
Just thought I'd share the link with you all. :)

Robots vs Humans - WW3, except we are fighting a man made technology!
The question of a new "industrial revolution" has arisen with the rise of the latest technology - ROBOTS! Yes, that's right, we now have robots slowly creeping into our workforce to replace human's manual labour. The thing is, many argue that this is going to put a large number of people out of their jobs. If that's the case, then is a society of robots going to jeopardise the global economy's workforce at current? What can we do to prepare for the potential incoming change?
Idea 1:
Instead of being paid for the work we do, we could be paid based on the amount of work our robots do in our place. Essentially, buying a robot will become like buying a piece of equipment. One will be simply be responsible for his/her robot(s) in the workforce, each of which will be trained to do different things in place of humans.
Idea 2:
Everyone will simply be put out of their current jobs and there will have to be a major shift in the workforce in terms of skills. Humans will have to do the things robots cannot do. E.g. creative jobs, or jobs in the medical field (since having a robot will not equate to the compassion of a human being - it would be awkward to have a robot operating on you because frankly, one might be scared the robot has a computer malfunction, and then, well, you've had it!)...
Idea 3:
Robots will take over and humans will simply become an extinct race, just like the dinosaurs were replaced with us... If it got to that, it would be very sad, since we would have killed off our own species with something we created ourselves, rather than by evolution...
So, where does that put us? Only time will really tell how effective and efficient this source of technology will be! But perhaps robots will be able to solve the economic problem and the crisis we currently face, who knows? Let's see where this ©technvolution™ will lead us...
N.B. I made up the word "techvolution" to mean "an evolution in technological resources"... :)
